SALE OF TOWN SECTIONS. On January 17, ISS-i, a sale of town sections in Whatnupoko Block - was held. In Block A J. B. Poynter paid the highest price for section 17 32 no .a lies upset £SO amount bid £loß.* Contain Tucker paid £72 for section 21. Mr. Baraeloush purchased several sc--tious for £49, against an upset rental of £2O. Other havers in the block were Messrs. Bailey. Houghton, Ponsford, Matthews, Breer, Hare, Pone and Harris, the lowest figure being’ £27 for a section valued at upset at £l7 10s. In Block B the upset value was for the most part £ls per quarter acre section. They fetched from £l6 t > £37 which price was paid by Mr. HClayton for section 54. Other purchasers, were: Messrs. C. V. Dnv's. Mansteod, B. C. Fryer. S'gley,.M-o-ril, Bond, Wi Pore. Finch. G. Foot. E. F. Harris, Maekrell, Baiiantiue. aiid Roblf* In Block C the upsets ranged from £2O to £25, with an occasional one at £3O. The highest pr'ee realised was £36, being given by Mr. L Gibson bisections 6,7, S, 9 and 10, each l rood 34 perches, and the lowest £2O, the upset. Other buyers were .T. Robb, B. C. Fryer, Hird, S.. Boyd, Matthews. H. Clayton, J. Trimmer, and LI. Bull. Pome sections in this t ~ blech failed to find nurehasers. The sections in Block D were f f much larger extent. Mr. J. Craig gave £126 (upset £110) for section .. 36, 5 acres 1 rood. Values ranged at about £3O per acre. Other purchasers wore:- Messrs. O’Meara, J. Gibson. I. C. Taylor. Poynter. C. V. Ferris. J. W.
