HOCKEY CLUB MEETINGS
(Special to the Times.) WAIROA, April 5. A meeting of the Old Girls’ Hockey Club* was held on Friday evening at St. Andrew’s School-room. The following officers were elected: President, Mr 3'. Hamilton; vicepresidents, Messrs J- Alexander 1E'ddy, W. Harris, C. O. P. Brandon, and K. C. D. Wade; secretary and treasurer, Miss M. Murray; coach, Mr ,K Duley; delegate, Mr J. 1< • Haughton. There was a good attendance at tlie meeting of the Sports Hockey Club held on Friday night at MrS J S. Wilson’s residence; Miss R. Gillies presided. The* annual report and balance sheet were presented, the latter showing a credit balance of £1 5s 3d. Miss 'I. Wilson was elected captain and Miss R. Jones vice-captain; Mr "and Mrs J. S. Wilson, club captain and manager respectively. Messrs J. S. Wilson and G. McLachlan were appointed delegates to the Association, the latter being also re-elected coach. BOWLING MATCHES. The following games of bowls were played 1 on the Wairoa Club’s howling green on Saturday:— Rutherford, Prebhle, Andersen, Macdonald (s) 22, teat Craig, Cook, Wilson, Harris (s) 20 Paterson, Hist, Lockhart, Taylor (s) 19, lost to Osier, Stairmand, Kendrew, Broun (s) 25.
