LOCALISING CANCER
DANISH EXPERIMENTS
PREVENT SPREAD CF DISEASE
Is it possible to localise cancer, and so prevent the spread ot the disease to another part of the body r According to two well-knowiv Danish scientists—Dr. Johannes IDsiger and Dr.. Paul Muller—the result of experiments they have carried out shows that the spread of. malignant tumours within an organism is not unpreventahle, as had hitherto been SU ?nterviewed on the subject by a representative of The Sunday News, Sir' William Arbuthnot-Lane said: — “I think it is highly improbable that the tumour can be prevented from spreading but in, any case we can only await fuller information of the discovery. . . i, “I think the only hope is in the prevention of cancer by the adoption of right habits of living and especially of dieting. People living in a normal state do not get cancer. It is our present-day civilisation which causes it.”
