MILLIONS OF FRANCIS' PROFIT
MONEY LAID' ON WINNER AFTER RACE RUN.

Astonishing pari-mutuel frauds' at Longohamps and Auteuil resulted in the arrest of five men, Avhose nefarious profits are reckoned at several million francs in the last t'.vo years. They employed assistants issuing betting vouchers at pari mutual booths at salaries of fifty francs daily. They kept several blank tickets bearing the nuriiber of each horse in the race, anti directly the result of the race Avas known sufficient money Avas laid on the Avinner to cover the losses on the losing ticket and leave a margin-.
