The profit on the “Big Three” art union organised by the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association and tiie Maungakiekie Golf Club, is estimated to amount to £16,000. The accounts are not yet complete, *and the profit has to be merged with that from the much less successful _“G oluen Treasure” art union organised by the Auckland Rugby Union and the Cricket Association. The latter is expected to yield a net profit of £4OOO, so that the four bodies should have a total sum of £20,000 to divide, or £SOOO each. The comparatively poor n suits from the second art union are said to follow on the prohibition bv the Minister of Internal Affairs of “broadcasting” application forms for tickets or for books of tickets through the post.
