The American athletes, Jackson Scholz and Lloyd Hahn, are expected to arrive in Gisborne with the He Luxe service this evening. They will receive an informal welcome on arrival at the Masonic Hotel, by the chairman of the Amateur Club (Mr. H. F .Forster). No arrangements for the entertainment of the visitors have been made for Thursday, and on Friday they will be fully employed on the sports ground. They will be shown around the district on Saturday, and on Sunday they will be entertained bv the members of the Athletic Club. They leave on Monday morning en route for Hawera. Mr. H. A. Goudie, who retires from the State Forest service on March 31, to-take' over the management of New Zealand Redwood Forests. Ltd., is leaving Rotorua for his final advisory tour of the Hominion in the interest of the State service this week.
