Sales on ’Change: "Wilson’s Cement, 35s 8d; Mt Lyell, 25s 9d. ‘ DUNEDIN, Jan. 23. Sales: Wilson’s Cement, 36s Gd.— P.A. WELLINGTON WOOL SALES Messrs 'Murray Roberts and Co., Ltd., have to report as follows on their sale held at Wellington on 22nd inst:—“Very large attendance of buyers. Competition general and bidding keen, America buying super 1 crossbreds. Bradford were the principal operators, but the Continent secure good proportion. French buyers keen on lambs and skirtings. Compared with last Wellington sale top-mak-ing wools rather dearer. Pieces and lambs were a half-penny to .threefarthings dearer. Pieces and lambs were a half-penny to a penny dearer. The wool was generally extremely tender and poorly grown.” HOME MEAT MARKET (Received Jan. 24, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 23. Sheep: Argentine, heavy sd. Lambs: Australian, firsts, Victorian.
