COLLINS BEATS MCGALE. (Received Jan. 24, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, Jan. 24. At the Stadium Parry Collins beat Frisco McGale in the tenth round, when the referee stopped the fight. McGale had the better of the early rounds. Then Collins got to work and gave his opponent such a severe gruelling that the referee saw fit and intervened to prevent his collapse.
WILLIAMS BEATS STEWART. MELBOURNE, Jan. 24. Williams beat Alf Stewart in the ninth round. The loser was downed three times.—U.P.A.
