GISBORNE BOY SCOUTS
CREDITABLE SHOWING IN SPORTS EVENTS.
LADS TO' LEAVE DUNEDIN TOMORROW FOR HOME. DUNEDIN, Jan. 22. The Gisborne Boy Scouts leave Dunedin by special train on Sunday morning on their return journey and' expect to arrive in Gisborne on Tuesday evening. , The boys are all well and are enjoying Dunedin. The open dive under fifteen years, was won by J. Halford (Gisborne). A. Ross (Gisborne) was third in the 100 yards swimming championship under sixteen years. In first aid, Gisborne was fourth, seven points behind South- Africa, the winners. The Gisborne scouts were commended on their good work, but lost five points on a technical omission. . , , In the tug-o-war, Gisborne had two wins and two losses, just missing the final.
