ENJOYABLE OUTING AT • EEMUOEA; ' 4 The Poverty Bay Boy Scouts to the number of 53, now in camp' at Eemuroa, Mr T. Holden’s property, spent a very enjoyable time during the holidays. The Commissioner, Dr.. W. A. Bowie, reports that during the whole of the time the lads have been under vancas no case' of sickness Iras been reported. The lads will break camp to-day. Yesterday a large number of relatives and friends visited the camp. On New Year’s Day the annual sports were held and provided some interesting contests. The results are as follows : Swimmings 25 yards (under 12). —W. Bowie 1, Duckworth 2. vm-rte funder 14). —Lockett 1, Bowie 2, Olsen 3. 75 yards open.—Ross 1, Shelton 2, Millard 3. 75 yards (over 13).—A. Ross 1, Shelton 2, Millard 3. Neat diving.—l 4. Oise n 1, Bowie 2, Ross 3. -50 yards medly.—Ross 1, F'oot 2. 25 yards breast-stroke.—Ross 1, Roberts 2. Under-Avater swimming.—Rose 1, Shelton 2, Millard 3. Running and Field Events. 50 yards (under 10 years).—Bob Green 1, T. Williams 2, T. Cameron 3. 75 yards (under 12 years).—H. Duckworth 1, McGibbon 2, Wade 3. 75 yards (over 12).—Mace 1, Sinclair 2, Carr 3. 100 yards.—Mace 1, Duckworth 2, Paeke 3. 220 yards.— Ross 1, Macc 2, Packe 3. 440 yards.—Ross 1, Mace 2, Duckworth 3.
