The death occurred in London on December 31 of Sir John Le Sage, former editor of the Daily Telegraph, ac-ed S2 years.—A. and N.Z.C.A.
Afrs. Reginald Dykes Marshall* aged S 3, died at Keswick. Her mother was the only daughter of the. former Governor Fitzroy of New* South Wales.—A. and N.Z.C.A.
Advice has been received that Air. AY. H. Snowsill has been successful in passing “C” (final) section of the Pharmacy Board’s examination. Of the nine applicants in the whole of New Zealand only three were successful in gaining a pass.
Additional New Year honors include the following: Privy Councillors : Mr AY. Lane-Fox, M.f\ & Baron Bledisloe; Baronetcies, Mr. Kinloch Cooke and Sir Bobert Jones, surgeon; Commander of the Bath, Admiral Alexander Buff, the Earl of Cavan, and Sir Edward Ponsonby.—Sun.
At the inquest in London on Lady Russell, 74 years of age, widow of Sir AY. Russell formerly of New Zealand, who is believed to have fallen down in her own home on December 25 and fractured her leg, a verdict was returned that death was due to heart failure.—A. and N.Z. O.A.
