FURTHER TROUBLE AT SYDNEY

When the Maheno was due to sail at- 10 in the morning a number of firemen were absent and did not return until some hours later. The vessel sailed at 4.30.
The Maunganui, timed to sail at 3. was delayed owing to the absence of certain papers which had to he taken down the harbor to where the ship was anchored. She finally cleared at G. 30.
The Tahiti was ready to sail at noon when the crew threw a rope ladder over the side and left the ship. This was a sudden development of previous trouble on Christmas Day, when the crew alleged they were not sufficiently catered for to enable them to celebrate the day fittingly. The Tahiti was taken down the harbor and anchored, awaiting a settlement of the dispute.—U.P.A. (Received Jan. 1. 7 So p nO SYDNEY, Jan. 1.
