WEDDING

TIPPEH-McMURIUY A very pretty' wedding was solemnised at the Baptist Tabernacle on Wednesday October 21, when Helen, only daughter of Mr and Mrs T.. A:»eMurray, of Disraeli St., was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Herbert E. Tipper, only son of Mrs 10. Willson, • of Durie Hill, Wanganui. The bride, who entered the diurah on the arm of her father, looked charming in a gown of white brocho crepe-de-chine, trimmed with little clusters of orange blossom. She wore the customary veil forming a train, and carried a showed bouquet of white roses and maiden hair fern. The bridesmaids were Miss Eva Tipper, of Wanganui, sister of the bridegroom, who wore an ean-de-nil taffeta frock, trimmed with silver lace and black shoes and silver stockings and carried a bouquet of pink roses and maiden hair fern and Miss Reno Gardiner, who wore a frock of helio taffeta and silver lace, with silver shoes and stockings and carried a bouquet of mauve sweet peas and pink roses. They both -wore head hands of green and silver and helio and silver respectively. Little Miss Ma sie Ste.venson, cousin of the bride, made a dainty little- flower girl and wore a froek of pale pink taffeta and lace and a white georgette Dutch cap trimmed with lace and little helio and pink flowers. She carried a little posy of pink roses and maiden hair fern. Mr T. McMurray carried out the duties of best man and Mr B. Hambly, of Wanganui, was groomsman. After the ceremony a large number of guests were entertained at a reception at the Le Grande Lounge. The bride’s mother received her guests in a model gown of navy blue moracam. with a. black satin and georgette bat smartly trimmed with black ospreys and wore a fawn marobout. Hie breakfast tables were decorated with tartan ribbon and -heather’ sent out from Scotland by relatives of the bride. In the evening a jolly dance was held in the Lounge, the bride and bridegroom later leaving for their honeymoon. The ..bride’s going away costume was of cinnamon garbardinc and she wore a chic hat and shoes to tone. The happy couple were the recipients of many beautiful and costly wedding gifts. Mr and Mrs Tipper intend making their lutu» - e home in Wanganui.
