LABOR’S WAGE REDUCTION BOGEY. FAMILY ALLOWANCES PROBLEM. „ „ * : GORE, Oct, 21. , T 'ie Hon. G. .1. Anderson, Minister tor Labor, replied to a statement made by Air Holland in Wellington to-day that- he (the Minister)- had eaietully considered a reduction in wages ot 7s 6d per week. This proposition, said Mr Anderson, appeared in the annual report of the Department. The Minister does not dictate to the Secretary ot Labor what the latter shall publish and the fatter is allowed to incorporate in his reports matters which no Minister could hope to give effect to, but which were of universal interest. “The proposed reduction of 7s 6d from the wages of the workers was*’, he continued , “totally opposed by him (Mr Anderson.)
