UK PRESENTATION OF POVERTY BAY. AX AUCKLAND SUGGESTION. An offer to include Poverty Bay “/■X hi bits in the Auckland Provincial Court at the New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition, has been received ironi Auckland by the Gisborne Chamber of Commerce. In the first place when it was proposed to have representation in the court the 'project was turned clown through the local bodies considering that it was impossible to raise' tbe funds. Tire ("-Itamber of ‘Commerce then communicated with the Auckland executive to ascertain whether a booklet concerning the Auckland province was being prepared in conjunction with the prov ncial court, and if so. whether Poverty Bay could have a section of the pamphlet. The Chamber was advised that the booklet was being prepared and that Poverty Bay could have a section provided that the district gave a sum towards the cost of pub’ishing, and as a result of :i meet ng of representatives of the Chamber and the local bodies, it seemed that a sum of £IOO could he raised to (hat end. This information was -convoyed to the A lick 1 and executive and. as a result, the following offer has been made by the Provincial Court executive:— >

Views you send us suitable to illustrate th : s section of the handbook will he made into blocks here. -

“The design of the Court gives roomy space like a restful lounge. In fhi.s space stands can he placed lor var’ous exhibits. We_ are trying to avoid the crowded winter show Tea and keep on artistic lines. .Anything that harinon sos with this Will be we'cm.n to a place. • “Wo should have your descriptive matter and views by the middle of 'October. If you want maps or show-, qards with figures indicating progress p’oace write early about them as the art’st.s have a lot to do.
