LONDON. July 18. Owing to the delay that has occuired in hearing the claim of Alexander Grant, an elderly ex-sclioolinast-cr, to the Seafield estates—now held by the 19-year-old Countess of Seafield, the only child of the late earl—an Edinburgh court lias appointed a commission to take the evidence of witnesses over 70 years of age, including four of between 80 and 93, upon which the application was based.
