LORD READING DOES NOT CONTEMPLATE RESIGNING. (AUSTRALIAN-NEW ZEALAND CABLE ASSN.) LONDON - ; April 26. Lord Reading, and party have arrived. Tho Viceroy, in a statement, said there was not a word of truth in tho rumors that he contemplated resigning. He was definitely returning to India on July 24. He was not prepared to discuss the Indian situation till lie had conferred with Lord Birkenhead. Asked whether lie would he willing to succeed Sir R. L. Samuel in the High Commissionership of Palestine, lie laughingly replied: “I would not- accept the position if you gave me Palestine itself.”
