BRITAIN’S HOUSING
GOVERNMENT’S POLICY.
TWO AND A-HALF MILLION HOUSES IN 15 YEARS.

In the House of Commons, Mr. Wheatley, in moving a financial resolution covering the housing policy, stated that they aimed at producing two and a-half million houses in a period of 15 years, beginning with 90,000 in 1925 and rising to 225.000 in 1934, of which two-thirds of the total would be in brick. An agi cement had been reached with the building industry whereby the prices fixed would be those prevailing In 1924, and steps would be taken to prevent profiteering.—A. and X.Z. G.A.
