MATRON SACRIFICES. HER. LIFE

In connection with a fire at the Hope School, California, Mrs D. Thomas, matron, sacrificed her life in a vain effort to lead some girls from the burning structure. Wilfred Ringer, son of an attendant, was killed. —Reuter.
