The House of Commons Select Committee to consider the restriction ot ieports of divorce cases, lies concluded its evidence, and agreed on a. report which., it is understood, will recommend that the scope of Sir Evelyn Cecil’s Bill should be widened to prevent publication of indecent matter m all judicial proceedings, and regarding divorce, the newspaper should be permitted to publish only the statements of the petitioner and the tiefence, the Judge s summing up of any points of the law, and the names of witnesses, but no evidence.
