COAL SHORTAGE IN DUNEDIN. t \ DUNEDIN, July 26. Although there is still sufficient coal in Dunedin for household and other purposes a policy of strict economy is becoming necessary and suppliers consequently are supplying customers with just sufficient to keep them going. Supplies from southern lignite” mines have fallen off considerably, influenza among miners being largely responsible for the diminished output. - while the Christchurch roeiehants are also operating in Otago and Southland.
