HOME MARKETS. .The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from tlieir London house under date 20th lust.:— 'N.Z. Frozen Meat: Position unaltered. "N.Z. Dairy Produce: Butter 160 s to 162 s per cwt; hotter demand. Choose, 90s to 102 s; small supplies owing to strike/’ MATAWHERO STOCK SALE. The weekly sale conducted by the P.B. Stockbrokers’ Association was held at the Matawkero yards yesterday. There was only an average attendance, and as buyers did not seem keen, the sale dragged somewhat. Only a few fat sheep, mostly owes, were forward, and prices showed no alteration from those of last sale. Fat cattle were also few, and there was little competition for the light cows, which comprised the majoi; portion of the yarding. There was a good yarding of pigs, with a. good proportion of slips and stores. Only a moderate demand was encountered, and prices were low in consequence. The quality of the store sheep was not; above average, and prices showed no change, competition being poor. A large number of dairy cattle were yarded, but they wore of poor quality, and the prices realised were in keeping with the quality of the st nil.
