INFLUENZA EPIDEMIC.
EIGHT PNEUMONIC CASES IN 24 HOURS IN AUCKLAND. DUNEDIN SCHOOLS REOPEN. - $ AUCKLAND, July 25. The Auckland record, for pneumonic ’flu to July is forty-four cases and eight deaths, including eight cases and one death (latter in Rodney) reported in the last 24- hours. DUNEDIN, July 25. During the past twenty-four hours there have been ten pneumonic notifications. The patients in the isolation hospital total thirty. Another deatli is reported. Twenty-nine members of the hospital nursing staff are off duty. All the schools in the city have reopened.—P.A.
