BURMESE GIRL’S EXPERIENCE.

A remarkable authenticated story from Burma records the dramatic return to life of a voung Burmese girl. After giving birth to a healthy baby she was pronounced dead by her semiskilled attendants. Th e funeral ceremonies were begun, and for three days the body, decked with flowers, lay in state on a bed in the street, and was visited by friends and acquaintances, to whom the customary hospitality was proffered. On the third day a woman friend declared that the body was warmer, and this proved' to ho the case. Curry powder was vigorously applied externally, and the girl was brought back from what apparently was death, hut was really catalepsy.
