PRINCE TESTS THE ECHOES. VISIT TO DESERTED CITY. AGRA, Feb. 13. The Prince of Wales broke bis journey to Agra early this morning in order to visit Patehpur-Sikri, the wonderful city built by Akbar (the Mogul Emperor), and ” deserted for centuries. He spent some time among the splendidly preserved" palaces, mosques and houses, and saw natives of the district dive into a great well from tlie roof of the Buland Darwaza, coining down feet first from a height of CO feet.■ Proceeding to Agra, the Prince spent the rest of the day in rightseeing, visiting the Taj Mahal in the cool of the late afternoon, when the soft light of the westering sun was beginning to give tlie glorious pile that exquisite ethereal appearance which became so much accentuated later in the pale rays of the full moon.

The Prince entered the inner tomb and tested the famous echoes, which are filing back in many reverberations from the loftv dome.
