MOTOR CAR AND GIG

YOUNG LADY SUSTAINS INJURIES.

An accident, -which was attended with very unfortunate results, occurred about half-past 8 last night, at the corner cf Gladstone Road and Peel Street. A gig, containing two people, Mr. L. Higham and Miss J. Brown, was proceeding down Gladstone Road in the direction of the Post Office, when, just at the intersection cf Peel Street, beside Air. C. Adair’s establishment, it came into collision with a motor car driven bv Alr. A. E. Bourgeois. The fender of the car became locked in the right wheel of ,the gig, which was thus carried for some yards before the car was stopped. M iss Brown was throw n out at the spot where the collision occurred, and, falling face down on the road, sustained injuries to hoi face, arms and knees, besides suffeiina from shock and a slight- concussion Ah’.
