PERSONAL.
The Rev. J. Aitken, of St. Andrews Church, who was compelled to relinquish his duties recently owing to indispostion and went South to recuperate, contiues in poor health, and has been granted further leave of absence by his congregation. Advice has been, received that Mr H. V. Laver, manager of the Bank of New South Wales, Wellington, has been appointed acting inspector vice Mr B. C. Molyneaux (deceased). Mr J. McKay, late assistant Inspector, has been appointed acting manager at Wellington.—P.A. Mr George Pitcaithly, who was at one time on the staff of -the Main School, Napier, from where he went to Waimate, and was subsequentlv appointed Inspector of Schools at Auckland, has now been appointed Senior Inspector for tlie Nelson district.
The Rev. R.. S'. Gray, secretary and •treasurer of the Baptist Union, expects to leave London in August, via Panama, arriving in September, in time for the annual conference, which assembles in October. He has much improved in health as a result, of his visit to Britain,. © •
