Carrie Lanceley and her Melody Maids are an undeniable attraction musically. Miss Lanceley is a prima donna of the first magni tude, with a voice of clear, crisp richness, and her methods of interpretation set her in a distinctive rank among vocalists of her class. Miss Cecile Stevens is a talented young violinist with a distinguished grace and charm characteristic of her wonderful ability. Miss Irene Watts is undoubtedly a mistress of technique, anj she possesses a sympathetic touch which is an acquisition to her charming rendering of solos and accompaniments. Miss Doris Middleton, though not yet out of her teens, .« indeed a ’cellist of rare promise. Her ability and technique, combined with her charming stage personality, promise much for her future. Mr. Tom Jenkins, the Royal Welsh tenor, has a powerful voice, and at all times sings with undeniable taste and expression.
