MILLIONAIRE MARRIES MODEL.

EARL A WITNESS AT ROMANTIC

CEREMONY

BRIBE THE "MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN IN THE WORLD."

Forty times a millionaire, Mr James Cox Brady, the American money magnate, has been married quietly in London to a beautiful New ’’York model, Miss Helen McMahon.

Society on both sides of the Atlantic has been greatly perturbed by the announcement of the marriage, which took place in Westminster Cathedral in the presence of but a few friends of the bride or bridegraam.

The bridegroom is the second son of Mr Nicholas Frederick Brady, the multi-millionaire and American railway magnate, and grandson of Anthony Brady, a power in American finance, the mention of whose name caused some men to tremble.

. A POOR BOY. Born in Lille, the father emigrated to America as the poorest of poor boys. He was actually a bar-tender in Albany, New Work State, when the great idea came to him of the consolidation of gas plants. From that humble beginning he became the dominant factor of all the gas plants throughout the eastern coast of the United States. He then became interested in traction, and became the practical owner of the only means of transit from Long Island to Manhattan. A world-wide consolidation of oil interests attracted him. 'Meetings occurred with some of the greatest oil magnates of that counry and Holland. The agreement was on the point of ratification in London when Mr Brady was taken ill. The hotel manager sent for a doctor. He died that night, and his death was kept secret by the financial powers of London and New York until arrangements could be made to prevent a panic. HIS THREE ROMANCES.

Mr James Cox Brady is the second of his sons, and is now in the early forties. The seven millions that his father left him is now estimated to have increased to between thirty and forty, and probably that is an underestimate. His First wife was Miss Elezabetli Hamilton, of Albany, New York, by whom he had three children. She was killed in a railway wreck in New York in 1912.

In 1911 he cae to Europe. One afternoon he was introduced to Lady Victoria Pery, the only daughter of Lord and Lady Limerick.,, She was beautiful beyond description. It was love at first sight. They were married after an unconventional courtship.

Lady Victoria never recovered from the shock of her brother's death in the war, and at the end of 1918 she fell avictim to pneumonia.

Miss McMahon, the third Mrs Brady, at the age of eighteen, was adjudged by a conclave of the most unemotional and eminent artists of America to be the most beautiful woman in the world.
