P.B. ROWING CLUB.

COMMITTEE MEETING,

The committee of the . Poverty -Bay Rowing Club met in the Club House last night, Mr J. O’Neill presiding. The visiting committee reported that the plant, was in good order and had been looked after with great care, and the following were elected as their successors for the ensuing term: Messrs J. O’Neill and L. Stichbury. The General Committee confirmed the authority of the racing committee in placing C. Lloyd to take over E. ONeill’s crew.

The crews to take part in Findlay’s Doubles Medals, presented by Mr F. Findlay, were drawn and resulted as follow: —J. Lloyd (stroke) and W. Charles (bow); R. Corbett and B. Corbett; L. Martin and R. Wallen; F. Sticlibury and J. Pankenhurst; J. O’Neill and R. Grant; S. Leckie and J. Mahoney; C. Ryan and T. Edge; P. Turei and Heriwini; E. Walters and S. Turner; R, Wright and J. McKay; E. Corbett ami L. Nicol; E. Patty and D. Strongman; A. Spence and N. Borst; W. Pritchard and L. Wilcox; H. D. Martin and T. McMullen; C. Lloyd and T. Rangi; E. Warren and E. Breatwell; J. Young and C. Warren; J. Whitfield and J. Reilly; L. O’Neill and G- Harris; E. Stuckey and J. Cudd; B. Stichbury and Illingworth; H. Swan and Mouhati.

The following officials were appointed in connection with the Findlay Doubles: —Handicappers: Messrs L. Stichbury and F. Hampton; starter, Mr Hampton; judges, Messrs. F. Findlay and L. Stichbury. The races are to be rowed on the Waimata course. The committee decided to bold a, race for a gold medal presented by Mr W. Clarkson. Last year members only tq take part. The entries will close on January'l, .1921. MASONIC FOURS. -.

The first round of the Mitsonic FoCu's medals I presented --by .Mr E. W. Gibbs, was concluded last evening, when B. Stichbury’s crew defeated W. Pritchard’s crew after a very excitingrace.

The second race was keenly contested by E. Warren and L. O’Neill’s crew. Both got off the mark even and raced level to the Kaiti Bridge, when Warren quickening up led by a length, which he maintained to the winning post. The second round commences to-night, the draw being as follows: —R. Patty v. E. Stuckey; C. Lloyd v. HI. D. Martin; B. Stichbury v. E., Warren; J. Young a bye. All crews are to be at the Club House at 5 p.m. sharp.
