NEW ZEALAND RUGBY UNION

SUGGESTED VISITS FROM OVERSEAS.

WELLINGTON, Dec. 20. The New Zealand Rugby Union met to-night. With reference to the South Africans’ tour, Messrs. Thos. Cook and Son wrote intimating that accommodation could Ire reserved on Blue Funnel boats about the end of April. Mr. A. R. Palmer, of Sydney, in a letter to the secretary, said that New South Wales would have a strong team to visit New Zealand next season.

Correspondence was received from the secretary of the New South Wales union relative to the visit of a French Rugby team to New South Wales and New Zealand. It was resolved that the visit could not be entertained during 1921, but that a visit would be favorably considered for the 1922 season, the" New South Wales and New Zealand unions to take the whole of the profits. Members were of opinion that a return visit should be made under tbe auspices of the two unions.— Press Assn.
