ENGLISH TEAM ARRIVES IN

AUCKLAND. July 19

The English Northern Union football team arrived from Australia by the Malieno to-day. The team will he accorded a civic reception to-morrow. The first match of tlie ! New Zealand tour will he against Auckland on Saturday. The manager of the team, Mr S. Foster, in an interview, said he considered the team was the fastest that had ever left England Tie did not think they had produced their best form, yet England should have won the first match in Australia, hut played much below their true form.
