ARBITRATION COURT.

The Arbitration Court sat fo r a brief period yesterday morning under the jurisdiction of Justice It. Stringer, with Messrs Scott and McCullough as associates. Three industrial cases and one compensation case were mentioned and all were adjourned until this morning. Proceedings to-day will commence at 10 o’clock, and the carpenters.’ dispute and softgoods dispute will be the first cases called. The engineers’ dispute is set down for liear.ng at 11 o’clock. Mr Elston appears for the Engineers’ Union and Mr T. Bloodworth for the carpenters and probably also for the softgoods employees in the absence of Mr J. Martin. Mr Lawson appears on behalf of the employers in each case.
