An • English syndicate has offered £10,000.000 for the Austrian Emperor’s tapestries, gold, silverware, and objects d’art, if the Allies will allow Austria to sell in order to use the money to relieve famine, but the syndicate fears that the Allies will claim the objects as part of the war indemnity.—Aus. and N.Z.
