BUTCHERS’ STRIKE.
ARBITRATION COURT AWARDS SUBSTANTIAL INCREASES. AWARD TO APPLY IN FOUR LARGE CITIES. Press Association Telegram. AUCKLAND. Dec. 3. The decision of the Arbitration Court in the Wellington butchers' dispute has been received in Auckland, _ and the surprise for those interested is that by a motion of the Court it will apply to the four large cities. This changes the situation in regard to the butchers' strike, as the award provides for substantial increases in wages.
The employers consider that no further conference is necessary, but point out that if the wages are acceptable, it is open to the men to apply for re-instatement.
