A movement is afoot to bring stock from the drought-stricken areas to depasture on vacant lands in the suburbs. Centennial Park will be utilised by the Government for five hundred stud sheep from the Nyngan experimental farm. The sheep are now starving United Press Assn. (Received Dee. 2, 10.5 p.m.) SYDNEY. The Minister of Lands, in moving the second reading of the Farmers’ Ds ought Relief Bill, providing for an advance of £1,000,000 and a moratorium, said that the drought was affecting seveneighths of the Slate, and was more serious than the Government Lad ever had to deal with. The Bill was read a second time.— United Press Assn.
