It is the roasting of coffee-berries that results in the development of the exauisite flavor so much appro eiated by coffee-drinkers. Inat is well- known. But it is not so well known that our N.Z.-grown tobaccos Gold Pouch and Three Diamonds are now subjected to the same roasting or toasting process—and with the same result as in the case of the coffee-berries. The flavor is brought fully out, while, at the same time, the deleterious properties of the tobacco are destroyed. Smokers are unanimously in favor of the new departure, and proclaim toasted tobacco superior to any 'other.
