Multiple is an upstanding brown horse, over 16 hands, showing great quality and very kindly temper. Multiple as a three-year-old won the Flaxmere Handicap, Spring Stakes (Frimley), Trial Handicap, Miramar Handicap (carrying list lib), and Onslow Handicap. He was second in Hawke’s Bay Stakes and Scurry Handicap, and third in Manawatu Stakes, Randolph, Jervois, and Waterloo Handicaps. Multiple’s pedigree shows that he inherits the most successful blood of the day—from his dam the great St. Simon, and by his sire the Musket strain. Grev Leg, the sire of Gazeley ; is well up in the list of winning sires in England.
