DESPATCH OF REINFORCEMENTS.
RECENT RUMORS UNFOUNDED

CHRISTCHURCH. June 25
Rumors in circulation as regards the possibility of the despatch of married men of the Expeditionary Force being postponed owmg to difficulty in respect of shipping, wore mentioned by a reporter to Sir Jas. Allen.
As regards the rumors Sir Jamas advised the reporter to burn them. In reply to a question as to whe- 1 ther any modification was contemplated in connection with the despatch of married men to the front.Sir James said that at present there were no proposals being considered and none would be considered until a reduction of the strength of the reinforcements being sent had been decided upon. In respect of that matter, when the strength was increased, it was to operate for five months and that period had not vet elapsed.
The Miniser added that New Zealand was in a good position regarding its reinforcements owing to the few casualties reported recently,. >
