A FRENCH HERO.
AIRMAN’S GALLANT FEAT.
Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. PARIS, June 18. A gallant feat was perforined by Lieutenant Rocliefoucalt. While he was acting as observer the aeroplane be was in fell abruptly twenty metres from the German linos, tlic pilot having been wounded. Rocliefoucalt dragged the pilot from the machine and then carried his comrade through a terrific ’hail of shells and machine gun fire into the French lines. He was immediately decorated with the Cross of the Legion, of Honor.
