A cousin of _GraTs'6pJ^ling, the heroine of the Nortliun Verland coast, has died at Cowpen, Blytli, in the person of John .Air. who had readied the age of 94. Mr Air was a boy of i -’-"ii his cousin achieved her deed of i sm at the wreck of the Forfarshire on Bongstone Island, and lie had frequently- been out with her in the cobble which she 'used' on that great occasion. Mr Air used to relate the fact that Grace Barling had several offers of marriage from wealthv suitors, all of which she declined.
