Semi-official advices state that Germany is striving by premises and threats to cut off suppbes which Spain lias promised to sen-i American troops on the West Fiont. The powerful under-current of German influence in Spain is reflected in file subsidised newspapers, which' declare that Spain would prefer a civi] war rather than a war on tile Germans.
