PROPOSED TRAMWAY “DICTATOR.”
NEW POSITION FOR MR. W. D. LYSNAR. SUGGESTION BY CR. HILL. A novel suggestion was made by Mr. H. E. Hill, yesterday afternoon in the course of a discussion with a Times representative upon tramway matters. He referred to the need for “push and go” in dealing with this municipal venture, and went on to say that he thought Mr. W. D. Lvsnar should be approached with a view to his taking over, by agreement with the Council, the tramway extensions and. immediately carry out and) complete the laying down of the system as inaugurated by him when Mayor, with the loan money now in the hands of the Council, the track to be put down under the supervision of the Borough Engineer and accordmg to the route when the proposals were first put to the ratepayers. Mr. Hill said he had given the proposal a great deal of consideration, and believed Mr. Lysnar a man well fitted for carrying out the work. He intended to place the proposition before the Council, notice of which he proposed to give to-night.
