ITALY’S FOOD PROBLEM.
GOVERNMENT'S TIMELY MEASURES.
-Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received Jan. 3, T 2.55 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Jan. 2.. An official cable from Rome states that all tillable land lias been requisitioned and will be distributed to the people. The Government will defray the cost of cultivation and will utilise the produce during the war for the civil population and the mobilised war industries.
