GERMAN DESIGNS ON AUSTRALIA.
STATEMENT BY DEFENCE MINISTER. United Press Association—Copyright. MELBOURNE. March 13. Speaking at Castlemaine, Senator Pearce said that many years before the war German agents were sending to Germany the fullest information, regarding Australia, to enable them, when the time came, to find a weak spot, and how best to land, feed, and march troops to vital points. Ifie Defence Department had evidence that Germany intended to bring armies which would crush us out of existence.
