AN ITALIAN SUPER-SHIP.
.Remarkable details concerning the trial trip of a new Italian warship have been published in the Italian press, frrni which it appears that the vessel, which is fitted w th »: l engines, is capable of covering over 100 miles an hour when travelling at full speed. The foam of the Inigo waves it throws up makes a track several miles long behind' the ship, and the disturbance is so great that jt is claimed that no submarine could venture within effective radius, or if onedid, any torpedoes tired would be the sport of the waves and be thrown away Tar from their target. Whether that would happen or not, it would certainly be a feat for a submarine to torpedo a vessel moling. at 100 miles an hour. .
