THE WEATHER.
■ Present indications are foi; variable winds; moderate to strong south-easterlies, backing to northerly north of New Plymouth and Napier, and freshening northerlies elsewhere soon; fair to cloudy and warm weather, but increasing cloudiness for a change shortly in and southward of Cook Strait. The barometer shows little movement in the north, hut will fall elsewhere shortly.
