When the House met to-day Mr, Hughes moved the adjournment. He announced that an amalgamation, between tbe Ministerial and Liberal parties had been arrived at. and moved an adjournment until Thursday next, when he promised a statement regarding all matter.-’, in'-luding the policy of the new. Government Mr. Tudor protested against the incompleteness of Mr. Hughes’ statement. lie said the official Labor Party had been invited to join the new Government, but had refused 1-Q ■have anything to do with a fusion. Further protests were cut short by the Ministerialists and Liberals leaving and the House "being counted out Though ’ the agreement has been reached, the allotment of Ministerial portfolios is not settled.
