THE BURTON TROPHY
At a meeting of the committee of the Kahutia Bowling Club on Tuesday evening, a deputation from the Gisborne Club, consisting off Messrs. T. Corson and W. A. Smith, waited on the committee and laid a scheme before them whereby the competition for the Burton trophy would be held alternately each Easter at Gisborne and Hawke’s Bay. The Kahutia Club committee warmly supported the proposal, and made the further suggestion that the New Year tournament of the Centre should also alternate between the two districts.
