LOCAL PRODUCE MARKETS
Messrs. Samson..'Bros., auctioneers, report tlie following prices at thenusual weekly sale, on Saturday:— Poultry: Turkey gobblers ,9s to 10s per head, turkey hens 5s to 6s, silver Wyandotte hens 2s 6d to 2s 9d, white Leghorn hens 2s 2d to 2s 3d, cockerels Is 6d to Is 9d per head, ducks and drakes 2s 9d per head, chicks 8d to 9d per head ; eggs Is 6d per doz; butter Is per lb; new potatoes 9s per cwt; onions Id per lb. Fruit is scarce and in good demand. Small vegetables as usual.
